2021 World Sportbike Calendar

The FIM Sportbike World Championship (WorldSPB) is a new entry-level racing category debuting in 2026 as the replacement for the World Supersport 300 (WorldSSP300) class within the WorldSBK paddock. Designed to provide a more effective stepping stone to the higher-capacity World Supersport and World Superbike tiers, the series features mid-capacity "sportbike" machinery such as the Yamaha R7, Aprilia RS 660, and Triumph Daytona 660. By utilizing a Balance of Performance (BoP) framework to equalize diverse engine configurations, including twins and triples, the championship aims to attract a wider range of manufacturers while offering young, emerging riders a more powerful and technically relevant platform to develop their skills on a global stage.
