The FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) is the highest level of global rallying, pitting the world’s most versatile drivers and specialized "Rally1" hybrid cars against the most grueling terrain on the planet. Unlike circuit racing, WRC events, known as rallies, take place over several days on closed public roads across diverse landscapes, including the ice and snow of Sweden, the sun-baked gravel of Kenya, and the high-speed asphalt of Japan. Competitors race against the clock on "special stages" to achieve the lowest cumulative time, supported by co-drivers who provide vital pace notes to navigate blind corners and jumps. With its unique blend of mechanical endurance, extreme environmental challenges, and high-speed precision, the WRC remains one of the most physically and technically demanding disciplines in all of motorsport.
