2017 American Flat Track Calendar

American Flat Track (AFT) is the world's premier dirt track motorcycle racing series, celebrated as the "original extreme sport" of American motorcycling. The championship features a unique variety of track configurations—including Miles, Half-Miles, Short Tracks, and technical TTs (which include jumps and right-hand turns) requiring riders to master high-speed slides on various clay and dirt surfaces. The series is divided into two primary classes: the elite AFT SuperTwins, featuring powerful twin-cylinder production-based engines, and the AFT Singles, a proving ground for emerging talent on 450cc single-cylinder machines. Sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, the championship combines bar-to-bar intensity with a storied history, pitting major manufacturers like Indian Motorcycle, Harley-Davidson, Honda, and Yamaha against one another in a quest for the prestigious Grand National Championship.
